This policy covers persona l information. It covers the personal information that is held to help us communicate with our contacts, supporters and donors. Any information which relates to an identified or identifiable individual amounts to personal data.

What personal data do we collect

The playgroup leader will collect information relating to the children on the register which may include: name, age, address, telephone numbers and email address. The information is kept in a hand written register.

Other information kept by the group is via email addresses which are used to promote fund raising events. We may collect other data from you when you voluntarily contact us.

Information on relevant organisations associated with the group.

Information on volunteers and committee members.

Why we collect personal data

To provide a means of communication between parents/carers and the group.

To notify you of events.

To provide age and ability related equipment.

To communicate between organisations associated with the group.

To communicate information relating to the group to volunteers and committee members.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your information with anyone outside of the group unless you give us permission to do so.

How do we protect your data

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We have controls in place to ensure your data isn’t lost, accidently destroyed, misused or disclosed and to prevent unauthorised access.

Where do we store your data

A register is kept by the playgroup leader of names, addresses, date of birth, phone numbers, and email addresses.

Email addresses only are kept on the computer.

How long do we retain your data

We keep it until you ask us to remove it.

Your rights with respect to your data

As a data subject, you have a number of rights.

You can:

a) Request to access, amend or correct the personal data we hold about you

b) Request that we delete or stop processing your personal data

c) Request that we transfer your personal details to another person.
